Our community is located on 200 acres of rolling hills in northeast Missouri. The land we inhabit is a mix of prairie and diverse, deciduous woods, with several seasonal creeks threading through and ponds for swimming and fishing. Bear Creek’s land abuts a gravel road, Frontier Lane. We are about five miles from the La Plata Amtrak train station, and about fifteen miles from the nearby college town of Kirksville.

Above is a map of Bear Creek Community Land Trust—divided into leaseholds and common land. At this time, there are several available leaseholds for rent or lease to incoming members, both with infrastructure or plots of raw land. Please see the “available leaseholds” page on our website for current listings.
